Our Story

A pine house built for slow days.

Samlaun was built with one idea — that mountains heal best when you let them. So we left the walls bare, the wood unpainted, and the windows wide open.

Set on a quiet ridge above Uniyal Gaon, the chalet looks out onto pine-clad slopes and a wide, open sky. There are no neighbours close enough to hear, no traffic to break the morning. Just you, your people, the wood-smoke from the fire pit, and the stars that show up here like they don't in the cities.

The whole chalet is yours for the stay — two bedrooms upstairs, a living room and kitchen below, a private balcony, and a stone-lined fire pit out front. Bring your books, your family, your dog. Stay a night. Stay a week.

Just beside the chalet

A clear stream, running through pine.

A little walk from the front door and you're at a quiet Himalayan stream — running clear and cold over rocks and ferns, year-round. Sit by it with chai in the morning, or hear it from the balcony at night.
